Most homeowners never think about what's happening under their feet. But the crawlspace is where a slow drain leak or a failing duct can quietly cause serious damage - affecting your subfloor, your air quality, and eventually your wallet. That's exactly what we were dealing with on this job.

The kitchen drain had rotted through completely. We pulled the old pipe out - and the condition of it tells the whole story. Completely deteriorated, split open, and full of holes. That kind of failure doesn't happen overnight, but by the time someone notices, the damage is already done. We cut it out and replaced it the right way with new PVC, properly connected and secured.

The ductwork down there wasn't in great shape either. Years of moisture and neglect had taken their toll. We addressed the damaged sections and sealed things up properly. When your ducts are compromised in the crawlspace, conditioned air leaks out before it ever reaches your living space - and outside air, along with whatever is living down there, finds its way in. Neither situation is good.

Every repair we do in a crawlspace gets backed by a warranty. That's not a throwaway line - it means we're confident in what we put in and how we put it in. We're not patching things together and hoping for the best. We do the work we'd want done in our own home.

If something feels off - weird smells, soft spots in the floor, higher energy bills - it might be worth having someone get under the house and take a look. A lot of problems down there are very fixable once you actually find them.
